About

I had always dreamed of having a quiet little family. Instead I was thankfully given the likes of Full Speed and T. Puzzle who are anything but quiet. Their assertive nature is so far from my own that it pushes me to find my voice.

I started this blog in 2009 as a means to cope with the loss of my mother and to help me navigate the ups and downs of motherhood.  It has changed and evolved over time like I have.  My intention is to use humor and love to point us all in the direction of our shared commonalities. The world is in an endless state of flux.  The only constant is love.  Focus on the love and everything else will fall into place.

A special shout-out to Mad Dog:  Thanks for all your support, love and encouragement.  Maybe it’s because this blog is about our awesome kids and family, but I appreciate how much you enjoy my writing.  It helps give me the confidence to keep putting my heart out there.  Love you.

Here’s to you, Dear Reader. May you find your own humorous adventures in your everyday world.  I continue to be humbled and grateful that you honor my words with your precious time and attention.  Thank you for all the awesome support, encouraging comments and LOVE (my favorite!).

  1. Hi-I can not wait to read your other entries from August. You ahve become one of my favorite authors…right up there with James Patterson and Jodi Picoult! LOL.

Have a very good weekend and holiday with the boys and Mad Dog and I am so excited for a very special day that will be here only in 9 days…..

    1. Thanks for the wonderful comments, I enjoy them as much as writing my blog. I’m glad you can relate and find pieces of your childhood in what I’m writing. I want to share the humor in life. We all have it all the time, even in the middle of a screaming tantrum….! Have and awesome weekend!

  2. Hi Diana,

I love your blog about Frick, Frack and Mad Dog! I can promise you to be back regularly to see what’s going on with you guys. Now that I’m a mom of a 3-month old little girl (with lungs!!!) I understand more and more your everyday challenges….
    Take care,
    Zsuzsa

    1. Thank you so much for your positive feedback. I know you will have a deeper appreciation for my adventures now that you have Lili. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog and respond. I know you are very busy so it means a lot to me. I hope the sleeping situation is slowly improving at your home. Keep hanging in there.

  3. Hello! I came about your blog through “Freshly Pressed” and I love it! I have two boys as well, 4 years old and 2 years old, who keep me on my toes and it’s great to see I’m not alone!

    1. The fact you had time to make a comment with your boys so young is quite commendable. I am glad you feel less alone. Raising boys is an adventure like no other. Glad you are out there in the world experiencing some of the same craziness. Good luck to you!!

    1. Welcome! Active boys are challenging but in the best possible way. They test us to our limits all the while showing us that we are stronger than we realize. I’m glad you found my blog and I hope it helps you cope.

  4. Today is the first day I read your blog. Totally amazing. This is truly a blessing to me. I also have 2 boys (7 & 4). (Plus a 6 mth old girl) Everyday is an adventure. Reading your blog will be become a part of my routine.

    1. Thank you for your wonderful comments. How nice for you to have a baby girl to help balance the scales. I wish you all the best in the coming New Year.

  5. Hi There,
I found your blog a few days ago as I was searching for other ectopia lentis cases on the internet. My daughter is four and half and just recently diagnosed with ectopia lentis.
We are extremely confused and we are not sure what complications ectopia lentis can bring in the future. We live in Los Angeles. I was wondering if I can contact you and get some information about your kids condition? We are trying to see if surgery is an option for her. some doctors tell us it’s not a good idea . We are very confused…
Is that possible if I contact you via email? can I have your email address please.

    Thank you so much!

    Alma
